What is Street Squad?

Street Squad is a peer education group that conducts assessment, marketing and education for the Student Health Center, employing the theory that peer-to-peer interaction is most effective in supporting education and behavior change.

Based on the popular talk show featuring Jada Pinkett Smith, Street Squad presents LSU Red Table Talk! An intimate dialogue between students about love, dating, relationships, and communication! Led by students for students. Let’s get real!
Sex in the Lounge
February 13th, 7PM, Live Oak Lounge, Student Union
An open forum to anonymously ask questions about sexuality, relationships, STI’s, and love. Panel of experts include representatives from the Student Health Center, Multicultural Affairs, and Mental Health Services. If you have a question, we have an answer!

My favorite thing about being a Street Squad member is being able t connect students with the resources available to them on campus.

Interests: I'm big on health awareness and taking control of your own health.

My favorite thing about being a member of Street Squad is getting to be creatively helpful. Whether its helping with ideas for programs or planning projects there's always something to get your hands on.

Fun fact: As a kid, I was trained to be a concert pianist.

Interests: I'm particularly passionate about mental health and stress issues on campus as well as advocating for bystander intervention.

My favorite thing about being in Street Squad is I can work on raising awareness about health-related issues on campus and connecting students to all kinds of helpful information they might need. I'm also allowed to bring my own creativity and ideas into any number of projects and initiatives every day, which is so rare!

Fun Fact: My favorite animal is the koala bear.

Interests: promoting knowledge to students about consent and all the services the Student Health Center provides such as: nutritionists, dietitians, counselors, checkups, and so much more.

My favorite thing about being a Street Squad member is the interactive events and working with my team.
