LSU-Diversity Action Team
The LSU-Diversity Action Team was formed in February of 2011. The objectives of the LSU- Diversity Action Team (LSU-DAT) are structured around a four point charge.
The Purpose of LSU-DAT is:
|COLLABORATION||AWARENESS||SUPPORT & DEVELOPMENT||ASSESSMENT & ACTION|
|Create campus wide collaborations regarding diversity and outreach initiatives||Educate and promote campus wide diversity initiatives throughout departments, units, and programs||Increase support for campus diversity management professionals responsible for creating a positive and welcoming climate||Regularly assess, evaluate, improve, and communicate campus wide diversity efforts.|
The LSU-DAT Fall 2016 Goals are to:
- identify campus-wide diversity recruitment and retention strategies, and;
- to identify concerns, challenges, and opportunities regarding departments, units, and programs’ diversity initiatives.
The LSU-DAT reports to the Dereck Rovaris, Sr., Ph.D., Vice Provost for Diversity & Chief Diversity Officer
