Information Sessions/Table Sits

During your initial communication with our office, you can schedule an evening presentation/information session to be held prior to your day of On-Campus Interviews.

Many employers use information sessions to explain their organizations and available positions to students, rather than using interview time for this purpose. Others use the sessions to observe and interact with interview candidates in a less structured environment.

We can assist you with making arrangements through LSU Student Union vendors for catering and audiovisual equipment for any evening presentations held in the LSU Student Union.

Contact Courtney Edwards to set up your event.

Employers also find benefit from hosting table sits at LSU. The most convenient place to host a table with high student traffic is the LSU Student Union. Request your LSU Student Union Table Sit below:

For information on hosting a table elsewhere on campus, please email Courtney Edwards, Assistant Director of Employer Relations, at courtney@lsu.edu.

Table Sit Information:

The price for the table rental is $100 per table, per day.  Tables may be rented between the hours of 8:15am and 4:00pm.  The location of the table is Free Speech Alley, outside of the LSU Student Union, facing the Parade Grounds.  Please note- the table is 6’ long and there is no access to electrical outlets in this area.

Tables are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Table Sit Requirements:

  1. The only employer table sits that will be allowed are those for which the sole purpose is to recruit undergraduate and graduate students for internships, co-ops, part-time or full-time jobs. Table sits for the promotion of products, goods or services will not be allowed under any circumstance.
  2. Employers must leave the space clean and organized at the conclusion of the table sit. No fliers, brochures, or other handouts can be left behind.
  3. At the conclusion of the table sit (no later than 4 pm), employers must fold the table and bring it back to the LSU Olinde Career Center in 158 LSU Student Union.
  4. In the event of rain, unfortunately there is no covered area to move your table.  You are welcome to bring a 10x10 size tailgate tent to cover your table but this will not be provided by the LSU Olinde Career Center.  Please see below for the policy should severe and dangerous weather occur.
  5. Upon submission of this form, The LSU Olinde Career Center will contact you to arrange payment information.  Your table is not confirmed until your payment has been processed.
  6. University employees, visitors, etc, except those employed by the Office of Facility Services, are prohibited from any activity which results in any physical modification of University facilities and premises. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Chalking sidewalks, buildings, and other facilities/grounds of campus.
    • Taping on walls, floors, buildings, and other facilities/grounds of campus.

Please provide your first and last name.

Please note there is a $100 charge per date.
