LSU Digital & Continuing Education is offering a faculty professional development course titled “Designing and Teaching Accessible Courses.” Offered in both a fully online and blended format, this course introduces participants to the core concepts of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the laws and standards of accessibility in higher education. First Web and Technology Accessibility Open Forum This Week

The first of two open forums for faculty and staff on Web and Technology Accessibility will be held this Thursday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Dalton Woods Auditorium of the Energy, Coast & Environment Building. Vice Provost Matt Lee, chair of the Online Accessibility Working Group, will speak at both forums. He will address how accessibility impacts faculty members’ classroom materials and personal webpages, as well as how staff members will be impacted by making departmental websites, social media channels, marketing emails and other materials accessible.
