Faculty Resources and Enrichment
The Office of Academic Affairs strives to provide enrichment opportunities that help faculty grow and thrive in the university environment. Below are few examples of the many opportunities available to our faculty.
The Office of Academic Affairs administers several faculty awards throughout the year. Please click here for a full listing of awards. Special thanks go to the LSU Alumni Association, the LSU Foundation, and the Tiger Athletic Foundation for their continued support.
Southeastern Conference Academic Leadership Development Program
The SEC Leadership Development Program is a year long faculty development program that cultivates leaders and allows the exchange ideas with peers amongst the 13 SEC schools. The university level development program is designed by each institution for its own participants in addition to SEC hosted workshops held on specified campuses for all program participants. For those interested in applying, please contact Ryan Landry in the Office of Academic Affairs at email@example.com.
The Learning & Teaching Collaborative (LTC) is a joint effort between the Office of Academic Affairs and the LTC committee that serves as resource for faculty wishing to explore alternative pedagogy in the classroom, including the use of new technologies. Each year, the group hosts a spring faculty colloquium and invites a nationally renowned subject matter expert to provide a key note address followed by a workshop. Last year's event featured Rafael Luna, founder of Luna Scientific Storytelling.
