Groovin' is LSU Student Government Student Entertainment's (SGSE) annual concert that is free and open to the public.

Groovin' 2018 Event Details

Artist selection has been completed and the staff are in the contract phase of the process. Once the contracts have been finalized, the artists will be announced to students and the public. Follow @lsu_sg on social media for up-to-date information about #Groovin2018.
Bags & Checkpoints

All guests will be subject to LSU’s Geaux Clear bag policy. For more details on this policy, and for a list of approved bags, please visit All guests must also pass through security checkpoints with wands.


  • All guests can enter from the Southwest Upper Portal starting at 8:30 p.m.
  • Floor access is available to approximately 2,500 LSU students only at the Southwest Lower Portal starting at 7:30 p.m.
  • Guests on the VIP list must enter at the Southeast Lower Portal starting at 7:30 p.m.

The Groovin' Pre-Party hosted for students by LSU Student Government College Councils will begin at 7:30 p.m. There will be a priority section for students who present a valid Tiger Card upon entrance. Space is limited and available on a first come basis. Students who enter the priority section will receive a wristband that must be worn at all times.

Guests on the VIP list must show a valid Tiger Card or driver's license upon entrance. Guests in the VIP section must must wear VIP credentials at all times.
