Community Bound

Held the Friday before fall classes begin, Community Bound is a service day designed especially for first-year LSU students. The program works in close collaboration with the East Baton Rouge school system and provides fix-up projects and classroom support to principals and teachers. Community Bound is a great way for students to meet friends and classmates and to get involved in their new community.

Tiger Time

Tiger Time

Join us for LSU's newest Tiger Tradition when the incoming freshmen class takes a class photo in Tiger Stadium. It's not just any class photo though because you'll spell out L-S-U in the student section. After the photo, FYE hosts a block party outside the stadium with free food, drinks, and music. You don't want to miss this event! Watch L-S-U get bigger every year.

What's the Big Deal about Jambalaya

What's the big deal about jambalaya?

Bengals Beyond the Bayou kicks off fall programming with a jambalaya dinner for out-of-state students and their friends. If you're not from Louisiana, come enjoy a taste of cajun cuisine, meet other incoming students, and visit with FYE staff.

#AskFYE Tents

#askFYE Tents

LSU is a large campus, which sometimes makes it difficult to find classes on the first two days of a new semester. FYE and LSU Ambassadors partner each year to help students, give directions, and offer refreshments. Through the academic year, you can continue to ask us anything through social media using #AskFYE.
